Teddy “O.G. Tay” Green


Theodore Cosby Green (born May 8, 1955 in Richmond, Virginia) was leader and founder of Alexander Park Killers(Hustlers) and leader of the gang from 1978-1993 when he was murdered.

Kicked Out

Nothing is known about his childhood besides that he was a troubled youth causing his family to move from place to place. What is known is he was fronted drugs by a local drug dealer named Dangerous Danny in 1972. He sold marijuana to heroin setting up his business on the corner of Union Street and Bryant Blvd. Around this time he was small but respected around the area laundering the drug money into the small business. He would set up a small gun trade in the city. In 1977 his gun connection was sent to prison for 2 years for assaulting a off duty cop. Teddy would look for better means of multiplying his funds. In 1978 Teddy was out late selling drugs in his 1975 corvette on Union Street and Bryant Blvd by a group of armed masked men. Teddy was beat and made to give up his money, drugs and car to the armed men. He quickly called Danny who didn't believe him and was told to meet him in a quite place to discuss his future with him. Teddy instead fled his corner and found sanctuary with girlfriends and family members. Danny placed a price on Teddy, this price would be lifted on the death of Danny 5 months later. Danny was killed during a police sting.


Grant Village

Teddy came out of hiding in looked to his cousin for front money. He was given 500 dollars and a connect. Teddy would flip the 500 to 8 grand in a day. He used the 8 to buy more product and tried setting back up shop on his old corner. To his dismay a new crew was formed and operated on his old corner. Teddy moved into Grant Village with his cousin. While out there he used the apartment residents as lookouts gaining a following of youngsters in the apartment and surrounding areas. During this time he hired the local small gangs to protect his interest, many times calling on them to exterminate rivals. In little time Teddy came from drug dealer to gang leader in 1978 when he had to push out unwanted gangs trying to establish a name and hold in the neighborhood. Instead of going to war or breaking them up he told them “Either you work for me and get paid or disband”. The gang took him on his offer. He would keep paying outside gangs to protect the borders of his turf until paying a joint affiliation so they could be aline under him.


Alexander Park Killers

In 1985 many drug dealers pushed on others to gain lucrative corners. Teddy exploited this by lending out his gang as hit-men to eliminated the competition on another persons dime. Teddy would be shot at many times causing him to move from place to place only holding his turf in Alexander Park. Alexander Park became a danger zone with many deaths falling in the area. The locals where afraid to venture into the park in the dark and the members that hung there was nicknamed the Alexander Park Killers.


Ghost

Teddy would gain many footholds off the death of others tripling his empire ranging from hit-men to drug traffickers. This also gained him many enemies with many of the city against him. Teddy would survive 6 drive bys, a car bomb attempt and 2 stabbings. But on February 8 1993 Teddy was out over a close friends house. When a group of person came shooting at him. Teddy fled to a nearby alleyway where he was gun down execution style taking 2 in the head and 2 in the heart. From his death sparked rumors bridging a legend often far from the truth. Teddy was buried with a mourning of 700 people. On his death two of his brothers where murder in the same way as him weeks apart. His murder is unsolved.
