Leon "Curtis Black" Smith Jr
Leon Wayne Smith Jr. (born June 19, 1960 in Inglewood,California ) was leader and co-founder of Black Squad and leader of the gang from 1981-2007 when he died of gun shoot wounds.

Early Life
Leon was raised by his grandmother in the Los Angeles Baldwin Village area. Leon would work along side the occupying gang Black P. Stone Bloods. He would at many times be thought to have even joined the gang. This claim is disputed. Leon was known as a active kid at many times getting into fights. He would be kicked out of high school when found with a gun on school campus. At this time he began doing home invasion and corner store robbers to make money.
Forming Black Squad
Leon would began selling small time drugs. While spending time in a friends basement he sold heroin. During a trade he was robbed for all his money and drugs. Fearing for his life he fled Baldwin Village. He would get locked up for auto-theft. While servicing time he would meet a Chicago Outfit captain son. They would stay friends and when released they slowly built a gun connection between the two fractions. Leon would return back to Los Angeles on his release to bury his grandmother. While out there he meet Jose Rodriguez a member of a Mexico based gang known as the Bandana Soul'Vane. Looking for quick money the two would travel to Indianapolis, Indiana to discuss payments out of debt between the Cassidy Brothers. In exchange for clearing his debt Curtis would arrange deals with the mob. He would pay a key role during the formation of Black Squad in 1978. Older brother Reggie Cassidy placed Leon as his second in command. Reasons are said because Leon was at that time engaged to the Cassidy Brother's sister Amber.
The Face Of Black Squad
In 1980 a meeting was called between the leaders of Black Squad. On the agenda was expanding and alliances. The Cassidy Brothers showed up first. At this time a gun battle eruption between the Cassidy Brothers in unknown persons. Leon was 10 blocks away when he heard the shoots. He raced to the scene with a car speeding off and the Cassidy Brothers bleeding out next to a gun riddled car. The Cassidy Brothers would die on the scene. Leon was charged with murder but the charge was drop from lack of evidences. With all this going on Jose fled from Indianapolis to Arizona where he would be beaten and hung by members under Black Smoke.
Ready For
In 1981 at the age of 20 Cassidy was first in command of Black Smoke a regime under Black Squad and leader of Black Squad. He would help ship Cocaine from Los Angeles to Saint Louis, Missouri. Using Las Vegas as a drop off and pick up point. Being a small gang he was pushed to always move from one spot to the next creating many alliances with larger gangs. This strategy served smart from there on going battles between Ruthless Klan and Taz. He would be shot well standing along side a friend in 1987 and stabbed 4 times in 1989 by a Taz member. Leon would gain a reputation as a flashy aggravate of person. On one event he was said to have pistol whip a person on the prick of death just for forgetting the year Black Squad was started. Another story was said he shoved a pistol in a off duty cops mouth for giving him a ticket a day earlier. Not charge or even known if the story is true, Leon has many to match that. Never charged with murder he is said to have killed 11 people or even more. From his violent nature Black Squad for many years was known as a unpredictable and violent gang. This would bring on the title of the Face of Black Squad. He would fight in the first civil war known to many members as the Black Effect. This war brought on the idea of it's first council known as the IMT Circle just as well as questioned his ability to lead a growing gang. This war would push many members in jail and cause Black Squad to loss power.
Ghost
Leon would move his base back to Las Vegas to acquired Isaiah “Zeus” Moore. This member would replace the leader in years to come. With acquiring Zeus, he would give him the blessing to expand. Zeus would go to Indianapolis where he expand a base of leaders creating the Respect Of Youngsters. Controlling a gang in Las Vegas from Indianapolis they would push Ruthless Klan with the help of allies. Zeus would earn his Father-ship rank from victorious battles amongst conflicting enemies. Leon would open the doors on the advise of Zeus in Little Rock, Arkansas. Leon would go to war over attempting to murder Eazy Lefty a member of Zeus and fighting Zeus. This war would come to a end with the IMT's declaring Born Savage as a independent. Zeus would expand in the name of Born Savage with the backing of Black Squad in Little Rock. Leon would go back to Los Angeles in 2007 to bury his cousin. He was shot in a drive by while helping a known person across the street. He lied cling to life in Cedar-Sinai Medical Center where he died on November 22, 2007.
Not Forgotten
Many of his family members are Black Squad Members(Holo218 Families). He is still consider a legend and is treated as more then just a leader he is seen as the first big homie in IMT of the whole. Curtis Black is the equivalents of “On The Hood” with many replacing Hood with Curtis Black “On Curtis Black”. A movie is said to have been in the works on the life of Leon. Curtis Black's name is a pun on the 1990's King Of New York Frank White. In this day in age every Holo is required to learn the history and is required to be jumped in. This was started by Curtis Black. With the deaths of Curtis Black, Cash Monster and Alcatraz so they carry the unknown history of Black Squad. Leon is on recorded the longest standing leader of Black Squad/Holo serving for 26 years.
